As a mother with endless laundry, I’m amused that even in the future there will still exist the one lost sock phenomenon. PHIL AND EDNA MAE -1 was my favorite short story from this collection as it made me think of what it would be like if Bots were on Tinder.

Imagine the Uncle Albert laughing scene from Mary Poppins, only in space, and it’s not laughing sending everyone soaring around the room … It’s, ehem, too much seaweed extract! This will give you a little idea of the humor and deep-space zaniness you’ll find in “The Big Fart” and the other short stories in this collection. Cleverly written! And not just for middle-school boys! Though it’s perhaps best kept atop the toilet tank along with your magazines and Sudoku.
