Author and artist Larry Garnett likes to scatter “seeds in the wind” with his writing and artwork, seeking fertile minds and hearts, where new ideas and relationships can take root and blossom, hopefully to the pleasure of his readers. He invites readers to ride the winds of his imagination through the varied worlds of “speculative fiction” – science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, ghost stories and tales of the extraordinary, among others – in his novels, short stories, micro-fiction, poetry (as well as stories that blend two or more of these), and collaborations.
When taking some time away from his laptop screen, Larry might also be found tending to his flower gardens, creating artwork in a variety of media, or out hiking on a nature trail. He also offers private tutoring for elementary through high school age students and coaching/instruction services for homeschool families across a variety of subjects. (A “retired” homeschool parent, he taught his own two kids through 10th and 8th grades, respectively, along with many others through co-op classes). Occasionally, Larry can also be found practicing his former profession as a home remodeler and handyman, which usually makes his wife happy once the job is completed and the mess is cleaned up.
